The Whispering Bride
In a quiet village, nestled between dark forests and misty hills, stood an abandoned mansion—once a grand estate, now a decaying ruin. Locals spoke in hushed tones about the house, warning travelers to steer clear, for it was haunted by The Whispering Bride.
Decades ago, a young woman named Eleanor had lived there. She was set to marry a wealthy man, though her heart belonged to another. On the night before her wedding, she was found hanging from the grand chandelier in her wedding gown, her veil still covering her face. No one knew if it was a suicide or something more sinister.
From that night on, strange occurrences plagued the mansion. Guests heard whispers in the hallways, always soft, always pleading. "He lied to me..." the voice would murmur. "He promised me..."
A century later, a group of teenagers dared each other to enter the house at midnight. They laughed off the warnings, pushing open the rotting doors. Inside, the air was thick with dust and decay, but something else lingered—a whisper.
"He promised me..."
One of the boys, Jack, shivered but brushed it off. "Just the wind," he muttered.
Then, the whispers turned into sobs. "Don't leave me here," the voice whimpered.
The chandelier above them creaked, swaying as if something unseen was still hanging from it. The veil, still draped over Eleanor’s forgotten portrait, lifted on its own.
That was enough for the group. They ran, but as they reached the door, a force slammed it shut. A mirror beside them fogged up, and a message appeared, written from the inside:
